Subject:Crashed when tring to close sub windows

Hi,
My working environment is:
AMD Athlon 950
RAM 256+128MB
Windows XP
When i tried to close windows(like plug-in or file explorer), sometimes it works smoothly, but sometimes the whole system halted and don't respond to anything at all(even the capslock tab), I tried to deselect the 0ption->preference->multiple file preview, but it seems doesn't help. Can any one tell me how to deal with it?

Is there anything running in the background in addition to ACID? Be sure nothing is running in the background by closing anything in the Systray.

There are other things to try, but this is the simplest.

What version of ACID are you running?

If 4.0b, do you have the Real-time MIDI option enabled?

I've tried to update my Video/Audio Card drivers, clean off all my vsti, and shuted down all other programs in the try. However, it is even worse now that it stuckked just when the splash window shows up. Is there any other ways to try?

My environment is as follows:
AMD Duron 950
Ram 256+128Mb
Windows xp
acid pro 4.0b
Riva TNT 2 Pro
Sound Blaster Audigy 2
