I'm new to ACID Pro 4.0 and I was wondering if anyone can help me by giving me some tips. When I put my loops together, they just don't sound real enough. At the end of 8 beats you can hear it loop back. I hope that makes sense. Nothing really sounds like it plays through the beat to the next bar. Is there anyway I can make a smooth transition to the next loop?? Thanks |

Are these your own custom loops? If so, and you're recording into ACID, try setting the Loop Region over the recorded take, solo the track and bounce down using CTRL+M. Be sure to use the "render loop region only" option. Also be sure to set the track's volume to 0.0 dB before bouncing, as track volume is taken into account. Another tip: Before bouncing, turn on loop playback by pressing Q on your keyboard. Set the Loop Region over the track you want to bounce. Play the track and adjust the mark out point of the Loop Region until it sounds right to you. You may also want to temporarily disable snapping by clicking and holding the mark out point and then holding down SHIFT. One more thing: Access your custom loop's properties and in the Stretch tab, add or adjust custom markers on your loop. They'll make your custom loops sound that much better, especially when stretched to another tempo. Generally, you'd add markers on accents or subdivisions of a particular beat. HTH, Iacobus |
