Hello SF,
I have posted this question before and received no answer. ? . ? . ? . ?

Everytime i hit save on my project, the volume on the midi instrument i'm using jumps up. I'm using the ReFX TBL Bassline...

Now it also jumps up when i choose it in the mixer window.

Does anyone know how to remedy this???

thanks in advance. =)

I tried to reproduce this with the TBL demo version in build 317 and the current in-house build. The volume stays the same for the basic case, and in a couple other cases.

Is this when you're playing TBL from a MIDI Controller, or from the Track View, or Track Properties?

If from a MIDI file, are there any Volume messages (or other CC messages) within it? Anything else about the project file itself?

BTW, thanks for pointing this one out -- TBL really can make some sweet, but ear-rending, sounds! I hope we can get a repro, so we can get to the root of this problem and fix for you.

Joel

hi joel,
long time no response...sorry...just moved to the west coast.

so, the problem happens on another computer i'm using. everytime i hit save the volume of the tbl volume jumps up. i have to hit start again and it resets itself to the regular volume. i'm not using any midi controller...it happens whenever i'm editing midi notes in the the track properties window or suddenly in track view for no reason. strange huh???

let me know if you figure anything out.

thanks
mx

Hi Joel
I don't have TB Bassline Ron does, he said he is not having that volume problem on Acid 4.0e.
I only have Claw and Beast and Im not seeing it here. I'll get TB from Ron later today and post back.

Hi MattX
Does it change volume when you save while playback or stopped?
Do you have any midi automation (envelopes) on that TB track?
also are you still on 4.0b?

I had a similar problem when I was using 4.0b. I think there is a documented bug about track volumes not being applied to VST intruments (fixed since the 4.0c patch). SOFO - check me on this one.

When I ran into this issue, what I did was zero the track volume (located in left margin), and, instead, adjust the synth's volume from its mixer slider (located on bottom). I also found that volume envelopes (the screen you see by pressing the U key) worked properly.

BTW, the new 4.0e patch seems to be working great (there were issues for lots of folks for the 4.0c and 4.0d patches). 4.0e may fix your problem.

upgrade to the new version, this was a known bug in 4.0b and one of my big gripes.
