applying pitch shift causes Acid Pro 4.0 to stutter and stall after about 7-8 measures of play. is this a known bug? |

The Pitch Shift plug-in is more CPU intensive than most of the other effects, simply because ACID must do the effect in real time. Therefore, performance will all be dependent on your system. An easier way may be to simply bounce the track down with the Pitch Shift efffect applied. (CTRL+M is the shortcut.) That way, ACID won't have to do any effect processing in real time while your project plays back. Another way is to duplicate the track (right-click the track in the track list and select, "Duplicate Track"). Then pitch shift either by simply using + or - on your keyboard's numpad, or double-click the track's icon in the track list and under the General tab, adjust the pitch in semitones and cents. You should not use the Pitch shift plugin. ACID has the ability to pitch events up and down built in. If you want to pitch shift an entire disk track, it is better to do this externally. Peter |
