Anyone aware of any compatibility problems with D'cota and Acid 4.0b or is it just me? D'cota installs fine i enable it and it plays fine for about 2/3mins but then it dies producing no sound whatsoever plus no visual signs that its receiving midi .... anyone? >>EDIT<<< forgot to mention' D'cota works ok in project 5 which led me to believe it's something to do with acid <<< |

If it works for Project but not ACID, don't rule out that it may be D'cota itself not liking ACID for some reason. Have you tried contacting Steinberg in addition to SoFo? Iacobus |

OK, I have D'Cota, but I have never tried it with Acid (Use it in Cubase SX). Anyhow, I tried it, just to see if I saw the same thing you saw, and I played a midi track that was 6 min 38 seconds long, and it worked OK for me. I played the track 3 times in a row, and I did not have any problem. I am not saying that a problem doesn't exist, I just can not duplicate it. Best of Luck Ric |

I've had problems with D'Cota and Acid. I simply can't use them together. D'Cota works fine in Cubase, but locks up in Acid. |

I too have had problems with D'Cota in Acid. I've even asked a friend with Cubase SX to try it out he said it works fine. George |

I've been on to Steinberg support, just waiting for a reply. RE; RIC' did you just open a midi file route it to d'cota then hit play or did you actually manage to play for 6 mins? If you did the first method maybe that's why you did not experience the same problem? ..... Any SF mods in the house that can verify whether d'cota has been tested with AP4b? :) |

"RE; RIC' did you just open a midi file route it to d'cota then hit play" Yes, this is what I did. I am not an avid Acid user anymore, (I am not knocking it by any means, I just don't do a lot with loops these days)so I am not really versed in all of the latest and greatest methods and tools. I thought I would toss my little piece of info out there, and see if I could help. Ric |
