Subject:Audigy + Acid PRO 4.0

I need help. My computer locks up completely when i record in Acid Pro using an SB Audigy Platinum SOMETIMES. I repeat. It happens SOMETIMES. I have to restart my computer every time. Try and explain that.

Have you got the latest drivers for the soundcard?? If not, download them off the Creative site

Have you downloaded the Acid Pro 4.0b patch?

Personally i do not think that it is a problem with your sound card unless you have any other sound related problems that you know of...

Please try downloading the patch and the latest drivers, if that doesn't help..post back.

ps..What operating system are you using?? If it is anything less that WinXP, then you may have conflicts with relatively new hardware such as the Audigy Platinum.

Adding to what SpyManUK said, ensure nothing else is running in the background while you record, including any antivirus programs, software firewalls, instant messengers, etc.

Hey man if you did what the other guys told you about... as a last ditch effort try looking for a bios pacth made especially for the Crative/XP "f*ckup". No kidding. Had to find one for my Dell motherboard and it worked!!!
