Subject:ACID 4.0 crashes on load

I get the following error in the event viewer application log:

The application, , generated an application error The error occurred on 04/11/2003 @ 15:09:04.139 The exception generated was c0000005 at address 005CDAE8 (SfAXFunc_GetVideoPreviewClass2)

What is going on here? Does anyone else get this? Do I have conflicting library versions, and, if so, which library and how do I fix it?

Thanks
leaf

Have you tried or are you using the latest version of ACID? Did this problem just start occuring suddenly?

Yes, I've used build 317. I've also reinstalled, and it worked briefly, probably
until I used Sound Forge. Perhaps I should try a later version of Sound Forge? Either way, it is a Sonic Foundry dll that appears to be crashing. What dll, and how do I ensure the right one is loaded?

Thanks in advance

ACID and Sound Forge should co-exist peacefully. ACID 4.0b and Sound Forge 6.0e are working well together for me.

If possible, try updating your soundcard's drivers and your video card's drivers. (You might want to update anything else that might be multimedia related as well.) Try reducing video acceleration too.
