SKIPPING & STUTTERING PROBLEMS! (HELP!!) -ACID Product Family

Subject:SKIPPING & STUTTERING PROBLEMS! (HELP!!) Posted by: whitet Date:4/13/2003 4:21:01 PM I'm having skipping and stuttering problems during playback in both Vegas 4 and Acid 4. I have 192mb of RAM, Pentium III equivelant. The skipping is worse when I'm using MIDI tracks with SoftSynths and if i have around 15 tracks or more in Acid. Also I'm getting some latency during monitoring in Vegas. I'm guessing it's my crappy sound card that is causing these problems. I just want to be sure this sounds like a sound card problem before I purchase a more expensive one (leaning towards an M-Audio card). If anyone can comment I would appreciate it a lot, thanks! (I only need one input really. I'm just using it to record my vocals. I have a Samson C01 Condsnor MIC with a TUBEpre Amp. so the sound card doesnt have to be to complex, just something that wont have any latency or stuttering problems.) - Ryan
