greetings. i am trying to add scratch vocals using acid 4.0. quality is good but my vocal tracks seem to drag on playback... can u help? thanx jj |

Seem to drag? You mean they play fine but sound off (not in sync with the rest of the project)? Try either adjusting the latency of your soundcard or switching to the WDM (Windows Classic) driver model (if you're using ACID Pro 4.0). HTH, Iacobus |

greetings, thanx for the reply... if i adjust latency slider [(fm801 pci audio (wdm)], wont it change the performance of all tracks on playback or just recording? thx, jj |

It may affect recording depending on how well your soundcard itself performs (like if you do recording while playing the rest of your project back). If you zoom in on the recorded track, does it seem like there's a delay before the track's audio actually begins? To test this out, start recording a couple measures before actually recording vocals. If you're spot on and you know it but the track still seems off, you may want to manually adjust recording latency on the Audio tab under Options>Preferences on the menu bar. HTH, Iacobus |
