Subject:running two sound cards?

Whoops - built a new PC and somewhere along the line applied some inappropriate voltage to the front panel of my Audigy 2 Platinum, which is now not working - but the card itself still works fine.

However, it was handy to be able to plug a second pair of headphones into this panel, as there's only one headphones socket on my Mackie mixer.

If I re-enable the onboard sound could I run the h/phones through that without affecting the Audigy?

Any other issues concerning running two cards on one PC?

Thanks, folks

Phil

You should be OK. I have two audio interfaces and they both run fine. (An M-Audio Audiophile 2496 and an M-Audio USB Duo.)

Just be sure that you route the audio to the appropriate output for playback.
