Subject:Midi sync recording... Posted by: FT13 Date:4/6/2003 4:56:32 PM I have Midi In/Out wires connected from my soundcard to my Korg Electribe. I want to have Sound Forge start recording as soon as i hit "Play" on the Korg. What do i need to do in SF in order for that to work? Thanx -Sin

The rest is straight from Sound Forge's online help: "From the Options menu, choose Preferences, and click the MIDI/Sync tab. On the MIDI/Sync tab, choose the trigger device from the Input drop-down list and click the OK button. From the Options menu, choose MIDI In/Out, and then choose Trigger from MIDI/MTC from the submenu to enable MIDI input. Click the Record button . In the Record dialog, click the Sync button. Select the Enable MTC/SMPTE Input Synchronization check box. Select the Start check box and specify the time you want to start recording. Select the End check box and specify the time you want to stop recording. Click the OK button."

Go to the MIDI/Sync tab and specify your chosen MIDI input under "Input".
