Alright, I just got Acid 4.0 today, and I'm having a problem. When I loop something, it loops the whole thing, and I Just want it to loop that one "take" or whatever. Any help would be greatly appreciated, I scoured older posts for this, and I looked through all of the "Help" menu...and I couldn't find anything about it. |

Select the portion you want to loop in the chopper, insert it into the timeline and save it as a new loop (make sure the tempo/key settings are what you want). Then you will have your new "loop". You can also take that one section and CTRL+click drag it over to get more than one instance of it -- the results will give you a "looping" effect. |

In addition to what Jess said, there's also some other ways to use the Chopper. Once you make a selection in the Chopper, you can simply drag the selection onto the timeline. Use the Paste Repeat command (CTRL+B) and use the "end to end" option to continually loop the event. (Open the Chopper by using ALT+2 on your keyboard.) HTH, Iacobus |
