Subject:ACID DJ QUITS / MEMORY Problem?

My Acid DJ 3.0's been acting funny. When I record a new track, it quits after about 20 seconds. I click on "END NOW" (in XP), then when I open Acid later, all my work is gone. After this happened a bunch of times, I got a Windows message saying "VIRTUAL MEMORY MINIMUM TOO LOW." I have 198 mgs of ram and thought this was enough. Should I upgrade to 256? 500? *** I also got goofy symantec alert messages saying, "The integrity of you settings cannot be verified." I'm assuming the lack of memory triggered something. |

That should be enough memory. XP does like about 256 or more though. Symantec? Got something such as Norton Utilities? That could be taking up precious memory (or even causing a memory leak). Try to update the software if possible and/or shut it down before running ACID. HTH, Iacobus |
