I've been messing with acid 4.0 for a couple of days now and im working on a remix of a song and ive created a separate instrumental that i want vocals over. But the problem is the track that i have the original instrumentation is there. So my question is is there anyway to delete the other instruments in the track? or can you suggest a good program to use that could do this for me...

any help would be appreciated... Thanks

Do you mean removing the instrumentals from a track to get just the vocals?

If that's the case, it cannot be done. It is impossible to seperat vocals and instrumentals when it is rendred as one track.

However you can try the reduse the base & treb and bring up the mid using the eqalizer and then mix an instrumental track to drown the org. instrumentals.

hope this works !!

actually, there's a bootleg dj named dsico who posted a piece on how to do this, but you have to have an instrumental version of the track you want to remove the instruments from.

basically, he says you can analyze the instrumental track, and them remove that from the full track, leaving just the vocals behind.

i haven't tried this mice elf, but here's his how-to:

happy editing...
