...Drums by Multiloops.

Does anyone own the Rock Vol. 1 drum loop disk by these guys?
I am apprehenseve about dropping $100 for ANOTHER drum loop disk....
I downloaded their Pro Tools sample project and used the loops in Acid. They work fine and sound good, but I hate to commit before I hear anything about them.

Thanks,

Fresnog

I may be a bit biased as I did acidize all their sets for Multiloops, but...
I bought this set originally for personal use (you can never have too many drum loops). I find their libraries well recorded (24 bit) and with plenty of variety within each tempo. The recordings are relatively dry so you may need to process them a bit to make them fit into your projects. The labeling of the loop sets are a bit "academic", using just a numbering system so it doesn't tell you the difference between verses/fills etc. I think multitracked drumloops are the best way to go give the user the best flexibility. These libraries originally went for about $300 if I remember correctly.
Discrete Drums are another company dealing with multitracks, especially vol-2 is a good one IMO. Vol-1 had an additional measure tagged on each loop, but I sent them a fixed library wich may be available from them.

Erik,
Thanks for replying. I have been wondering about Naked Drums Vol. 2 as well. There are many more mic placements per loop and the additional L & R room mics add A LOT. But, they say that "Acid Compatability will be available soon." What exactly does that mean?

I downloaded the Pro Tools sample for Vol. 2 and imported a set of loops into Acid Pro 4.0b, and was able to tempo change (in both directions) without any problems. What other 'Acid compatability' issues exist?

Thanks in advance!

You should be able to get acidized versions of these libraries.
They've had my conversions of the original versions for several months and I shipped them Rock vol-2 about 3-4 weeks ago.
They have been slow in updating their web-site though.
