Subject:need help with strange flanging effect when recording audio

I've been trying to record basic audio tracks in Acid using my guitar into my V-amp 2. In the past I've used SawPro without a problem, but now when recording more than one track, I get this strange flanging/chorus kind of effect when playing back, even when the tracks are panned hard left and right. Each track separately is fine but combined is not. When I record, both tracks are dry and I don't add any effects afterwards either. Plus this seems to be effecting SawPro as well. I'm no newbie to recording audio but can't seem to figure this out!

Its also not the V-amp, which I thought because I tested recording another amp and the effect was still there.

Any suggestions?

thanks,

Adam

Hmm. Almost sounds like some phase cancellation is going on? What if you tried to offset one of the recordings a tad? (Zoom in all the way, highlight the event and press 4 or 6 on your keyboard's numpad to nudge the event left or right respectively.)

HTH,
