Subject:Converting Stereo Music to Mono

I'm recording spoken voice interviews in Sound Forge (in .wav files) and want to add a musical intro .wav file that I already have to the beginning of these interviews. I've been recording the interviews in mono and now see that the musical intro file is in stereo. How can I convert the musical intro file to mono so that when I add it to the interviews everything is then in mono?

Open the stereo file, in the status bar, right-click on "Stereo", select mono in the shortcut menu, in the menu that pops up select "Mix Channels". If you need fussier adjusting use Process > Channel Converter instead.
