I can hear the mp3 track i want to mix with on the preview function but when i move the song to master side and press play i hear no sound. I have acidpro 4.0. I have tried as suggested previously to go file< render as but it is grayed out so i cant even access it. any help would be appreciated. |

Do you have a playback device selector button under the Master channel of the Mixer? (It looks like a single arrow pointing to the right leading to another arrow amongst a row of three arrows.) Select a specific hardware output under there. If you don't have a playback device selector button, go to the Audio tab under Options>Preferences on the menu bar. Choose "Windows Classic Wave" or your soundcard's ASIO drivers and select specific hardware outputs for playback immediately underneath. HTH, Iacobus |

Hmmm...read your post over again. Did you actually paint in an audio event? Not only do you have to add the media to your project, but you must also place an event on the timeline. Use the Paint Tool and while holding down CTRL on your keyboard, click anywhere in the timeline. (Where you click is where the event will begin.) The entire MP3 should be added from beginning to end.
