The only CD burning problem I've encountered thus far is when burning multiple copies the first few seconds on the first track is clipped on any copy after the first. Anyone find this?

I have found that when I do not render to temporary file before the burn that the CD is OK.

P4 2gig 512RAM Win 2K
3 Different Dell computers with different CDR
CDR is Lite-On LTR 24102M
CDR is NEC CD-RW NR 9100A
CDR is HL-DT-ST CDRW GCE-8481B

I never could get ANY SF products to burn CD's correctly (except CDA, natch!)...the software would go thru the motions of burning, I'd set it up, wait for the burn dialog box to complete and VOILA!!! My CD"s were always empty. Blank. Barren. So I use Pyro. Works like a charm.

Bug has been found and will be fixed in Vegas 4.0b.

Thanks.

I didn't see this listed in the "bug fix list", and haven't had a chance to try - Has it been fixed, in fact?

Yes it was fixed. Just wasn't a big enough bug to end up in that list. Very few people should have seen the bug.

Thanks.

Thanks Dave - good job on the update

Surprise. It wasn't fixed.
I just had the problem for the first time with 4.0b. I sent a client home with two copies each of two cds with the endings clipped off. Oddly enough, I never had this problem with 4.0..
Not happy.

Hmmm. Are you burning multiple copies in Vegas? If so, we have identified another bug and are working to get it fixed.

DaveS:

I can verify last two seconds of disc being chopped off in final burn, while doing multiple copies, via a rendered temporary file. My temp. workaround was to add two seconds of silence in Soundforge.

Thanks
