Subject:inserting soft synth?

I click on insert soft synth then I select DLS soft synth then it pops up a window with a lot of souns/voices but when I click on them it don't let my play them. How do I use these please?

Hi dude .... Make sure you have enabled the soft synth by clicking on the **Enable button** on the top of the synth window also click on the *** External midi input port** and select your sound card from the list....

If you have not done so already, you also need to go into ** OPTIONS>PREFERENCES>MIDI** and enable your sound card by checking the box beside it..

This whole section of bringing up a vsti needs to be trimmed down to insert vsti>>vsti open and ready to be played. ALL routing/enabling and soundcard assigning needs to be automatic. Tooooooo many things to remember/juggle for a simple performance.
