Subject:Quantizing MIDI Messes up Channel Assignments

Hey, what gives? When I quantize a MIDI track, it outputs on a different channel, although the track channel assignment still reads the same. Changing the channel assignment in the general tab has no effect. If I undo the quantize, bingo, the track plays again on its intended channel. This also applies to individual notes within a track, quantizing one note in a chord changes it in playback. What am I missing?
