Subject:need help using soft synths Posted by: loproedge Date:3/15/2003 2:33:19 PM I recently purchased Acid Pro 4.0 along with Native Instruments Battery. I'm using a drum sample CD called Drumkit from Hell but am having problems getting it all to work. Basically, I load the DFH kits into Battery, no problem there. When I load Acid, I go to the Insert menu - then soft synths and select Battery. I try and open my kits that I made in Battery but they have a .kit extension. Acid will only let me "Open VSTi Effect Preset" with a .fxp extension. Obviously the two aren't the same but I know this should work somehow. What am I doing wrong? I've also tried making a new midi track with Battery assigned to it. I enter track properties then the piano roll and try enter notes but they don't sound. Any ideas/suggestions? I'm pretty new to this so please help if possible. thanks, Adam

Look for a file menu or browser in Battery and load your kits from there. I don't have Battery, but I know that's how Reaktor and Kontakt work. See ya fuzzy
