Subject:Smoothing out loops

I'm a week into using Acid 3.0 so, I'm still learning. Does anyone know how to:

Stretch out loops...as if the note carries on and on
and, to smooth the loops where I join them so there won't be that skip/jump. And, I have tried adjusting the gain.

If the loops skip or jump it is because they are looping incorectly. The loop needs to be edited in a wav editor like Sound Forge. Usually there is a little extra at the beginnig and/or the end of the loop.
