Yes he is back and he did buy a midisport as advised. I thank everyone for the great support and hope this helps others as well.
Ok.....
I plug my midiman into it's usb port. Load the drivers.Connect my midi keyboard as a controller. Everything is good.
I go into Reason and setup there and get great latency control and can control it as well.Keyboard notes are right on the money as far as feeling goes.
Then I go into acid and setup midi, but what I get is delayed latency notes while playing keyboard and cannot for the life of me find a setting to adjust the latency for midi.
Can someone please step me thru the acid midi setup and how to get a softsynth to be acknowledeged and heard without severe latency?
I appreciate the tutorial if someone can guide me through this. I read all the help notes and understand, but am not getting great results.
Again no probs with Reason. And I love my Sonic Foundry!!! I am just abit lost here , not the software. ; )
Thanx
David

I'm not sure if this will help, but my sound card has several ways of appearing to Windows apps, WDM & ASIO. I had poor latency with Acid using the Microsoft Sound Mapper, and after playing around with my sound card's driver settings along with Acid's choices for the audio card selection, I got my latency to be very acceptable.

I actually tried to use my asio drivers and acid just claims that it cannot do anything because there is no more memory. I have 1 gig worth of it!!! LOL
Will not playback or even record with the asio drivers.
Help??!

You don't mention what type of audio hardware you are using or the driver versions. It will help to know this.
