i recently ran into a limitation that i would like to see removed if/when there is ever a new version: on a 'conventional' mixing board, u can simultaneously assign a track to any aux busses you want, as well as any sub-busses you want, remove it from the master bus, but still have the remaining sends be post-fader. acid lacks this capability, and it would be nice to have it. my proposal is that on the existing 'post- / pre-' dropdown when u right-click the 'Multipurpose fader mode' box, the list should also include pre- and post- options for all of the other sends. does that make sense? i hope so. ask questions if not. |

Unless I completely misunderstand what you want, you can already do this in ACID. You actually have far MORE flexability than a "conventional" mixing board. Each aux or FX bus assignement can be either pre or post individually. Each track MUST have at least one sub bus assignement - that is you can't have a track assigned to nothing. So if you have a master and 10 sub busses and 10 assignable FX sends, you can have any combination of send assignments be pre or post. Perhaps if you give me a real-world example of what you are trying to do, I can - or others here - can suggest a routing solution. Peter |
