Subject:How doesAcid play my MIDI keyboard?

New, I am... I have successfully recorded MIDI data into Acid, and I can get it to play back on ACID softsynth when I change the selection, but can't seem to get the MIDI output to trigger my ASR-88 (I tested the ASR's MIDI In with another device to rule out port/cable problems...). I have enabled and selected all of the MIDI outputs in the Preferences. I hope it's something simple. Pentium III, 865MHz, 523MB Ram, SB Audigy 2 Platinum...

I'm not familiar with the ASR-88, is it a midi controller or a synthesizer? If it's the former it has no sounds of it's own and therefore nothing will playback through it.

The Ensoniq ASR-88 is a sampler workstation. It has sounds...

Got it! I had to select the correct output device on the track bar...
