Hmm, sort of a newbie here, I have Acid Pro 4.0b, and a Casio CTK-573 MIDI Keyboard. I'm trying to hook up the keyboard to my PC, which has a Creative CT5880 card (integrated w/ the Motherboard), through the joystick port with an adapter. I'm trying to put down a MIDI track into Acid, along w/ all of the other loops that I have for a project. Does anybody have any advice, am going about this all wrong, do I need more hardware, am I using the wrong keyboard? Any advice would be helpful. |

Did you add a DLS soft synth to route the MIDI track to? (You can also use a free VSTi, which would be used in the same manner.) Use the Insert Soft Synth button in the Mixer. HTH, Iacobus |

No, I'm not quite sure how to work with MIDI in Acid. Would I insert a new MIDI track, and then select the softsynth? |

I think you must add a new soft synth before you can record midi. Then route your midi through that soft synth bus. Frensog |
