Subject:Acid 4 Wont Run. Again

I searched the forums before I posted and couldn't find anything, so please be nice.
I get the splash screen then the blue screen with "fatal eception OE 0028.D308842F in VXD.emuaps (01)"
Its 98se, SB PLatinum.
Acid 2 ran fine.
HELP MEEEEEEEEE

I ran a Google search of "emuaps" and came up with several possible answers. It looks as though your SB card may the problem, and it's not only Acid that's affected. This, from http://kxproject.spb.ru/index.php?skip=1 and their FAQ area.

Q. Why does Cubase cause Unrecoverable Application Error (Blue Screens) in the file emuaps.vxd
A. You haven't completely uninstalled E-mu APS drivers and removed all APS-related files from your Windows\System directory.

Sounds pretty similar to your problem. Not knowing anymore about what the exact conflict is, you might try downloading the most current driver for your SB card. Good luck.

Looked for new drivers on the web but I have them. How do I go about removing these E-mu APS drivers. They are there, I had a look.

I removed the emuaps.VXD and then I still got the splash screen, but then it just sat and froze up instread of hitting the blues. Please Help
