Subject:midi controllers...

i have a keyboard and a drum machine...which is hooked via midi to my computer..now i use to use fruity loops but it dosent have multi-track so its of no use..but i cant figure out how to control my wav files with my keyboard(or drum machine)...like.. i would select a wav file...then hit record and when i hit a key on my keyboard it would trigger the wav file...do you get what im sayin? tis is sorta all new to me...please help...

unfortunately that won't work in ACID. you can't use MIDI to trigger wave files loaded into the project, unless you load the wave files in a VSTi soft-sampler like Kontakt, HALion or even Gigastudio.

this might seem kind of redundant, as you'll not be able to manipulate the audio files as easily as when you open them directly in ACID, but if you really have to use your MIDI keyboard to trigger wave files that's the only way to do it. :/
