Subject:Low Volume after final Mix

I'm just getting used to how Acid Pro 4.0 works, but whenever I render a project and burn it to disk, the recording level when played compared to any cd from the shops is very much lower. I have very good recording levels when recording, and when I render the project I make sure that the master volume is as high as it can go. Any ideas on how I can increase the overall volume? |

A good compression/mastering tool is key. Sound Forge 6.0 (not Studio), has Wave Hammer, a mastering plug-in that can get you started. Another astounding DirectX plug-in is iZotope's Ozone. If you're not willing to part with any cash, try the Track Compressor plug-in on individual tracks and on the entire mix. HTH, Iacobus |
