I'd be interested to know your most used or favorite acid loop CD, and I'd like to know your least favorite or least used loop CD. Most of the 8 pack loops are great, and I appreciate them, but I would like to know some "real world" opinions. Up to now, I've purchased CDs by just guessing and looking at 8 pack loops. But I just ordered The Laswell collection because I keep seeing it recomended. I'll start, but mine are kinda old CDs. Favorite: Siggi Baldursson's Drumsugar It just works well. It grooves, and fits into a lot of different kinds of styles. Speaking of drums, I've had good luck with PLP's DDU-1 CD. It's a hip-hop drum CD with a pretty good variety. Least Favorite: World Percussion: Marc Anderson's Dragon Dance I would like to use this CD, but I don't have many calls to score a documentary on the African Bush. It doesn't work well with other loops. Up to now, I've purchased CDs by just guessing and looking at 8 pack loops. But I just ordered The Laswell collection because I keep seeing it recomended. |

Not sure that it's a favourite but the CD I've probably used most would be Classic Country. The one I've used least - that would be Pandora's Toolbox, I guess I must have around 2 dozen Acid CDs. I mainly do stuff for children learning English. Chris Hunt |

Best ever? I still love Metarock Visions, for my money... The Worst? Headstrong Grooves. I still kick myself for signing up for the loop subscription series that month. Had I just held out a little longer, I could've bypassed that POS (and Machine Language)... I took it off my hard drive a while back & haven't regretted it. David. |

My all time favourite is also Drumsugar by Siggi Baldursson. It sounds good for nearly all purpose. Also the the 10 CD collection: "Xclusive wav.xtension" acidized from e-lab is a must-have. HouseWorx! ACID from Überschall is - also very all round - even though it's meant to be a House CD. |

I looked on the e-lab web-site for "Xclusive wav.xtension", but I couldn't find it. |

I've also found Bass Taster to be a great CD. It adds a creativity to things. Bass X is functionally useful - and you need that - but Bass Taster is creative. |
