Can I Use Outboard Reverb With Vegas 4

Is there a way I can use an outboard reverb unit with Vegas 4? I am using the ASIO driver from Digidesign with a Digi001 (Digi's wave driver won't work with V4 for some reason and, its only a two channel driver). I have been a Pro Tools user and am used to setting up inserts to use with outboard gear. I can get a signal to the reverb unit, but don't know how to get it back.

Any help is appreciated.

Thanks,
Greg

Hello,

No way with your setup, you need almost another pair of outputs for send signal to rev (4=2 for monitoring and two for rev).

The ASIO driver should expose all of the inputs and outputs for your 001.

How did you want to incorporate the external FX into your work?

As far as I know there is no simple way to have external FX permanently running into a mix. You could always to a record pass and record the ouput of the FX unit onto an extra track.
Possibly you could just leave a track in record-ready mode with input monitoring switched on while you were mixing and then record it just before rendering the project?

ibliss,

I took your suggestion and recorded the effects to another track. This is not what I would have preferred, but it works. Thanks for your help.
