Subject:Help! Can't get Acid Pro 3.0 to accept MTC

I've grown 10 years older in the last 24 hours trying to do the following: Sync Acid 3.0 Pro to MTC generated by Mark of the Unicorn midi out to my M-Audio card. Can I use the Printer Cable on the back of MU to the RS232 port on my PC. What drivers do I need? Shouldn't the MTC appear through any midi output cable on the MU and be received through the midi in on the M-audio card? Thanks |

It should, but remember ACID can only be triggered via MTC. It cannot chase MTC. Be sure everything is routed properly on the Sync tab under Options>Preferences on the menu bar. Then activate triggering via MTC by using CTRL+F7 on your keyboard. HTH, Iacobus |

Thanks, I was aware that it can only be triggered by MTC. I've checked the routing several times. I think the problem is that the MTC is not being passed from the MU midiexpress. Smpte is getting into the unit and I've connected one of the midi outs directly to the MAudio card midi in. Acid just waits for for the time code. I've even tried to tap the MTC off of an OMS time code to MTC box that my Power PC uses. Acid still sits there waiting. Any insight would be greatly appreciated. Steve |

You might want to browse through these KB articles. You can also give SoFo an email or a phone call. Can you sync anything via the M-Audio card? (Be sure the drivers are properly installed.) HTH, Iacobus |
