alight... ok, i put all my sequences, etc together in fruity loops... if i export the song directly out of fruity loops, burn it to a cd, then listen to it in my car(which has a bassy system), the track sounds great. but then when i export the individual attributes out of fruity and then compile it together into acid, render, burn to cd, then listen to my car, it seems dead... like it was recorded off of a tape... is there anythink i can do to make it sound better? email me. thanks

Does it sound like it should while playing back in ACID itself? What format are you using for rendering? WAV is preferable and is lossless.

thats just the thing... it all sounds flawless when i am creating on the computer, but once i burn it to a cd to make sure all the levels are straight, it just sounds dampened... its not TERRIBLE, but it does sound like it doesnt have all the "umph!" that it should... the lows are normally fine, it just seems that it has a slight amount of muffle to it... its kinda hard to explain.

Weird. What about rendering straight to WAV?

I don't think this will help any, but set the project to 16-bit/44.1 kHz before burning if it's higher in bit-depth and/or sample rate, as that's the CD audio standard. (That could be also why the CD doesn't sound as good as your original project.) You may also want to consider rendering to 24-bit WAV and doing a conversion via Sound Forge before burning to CD.

Are you normalising after the render, or ensuring that the render is level-optimised ? Maybe it peaking at -10 or whatever ....
