Why is "close" missing?

in the month that i have used cda5 i have come upon a perplexing problem in XP. if i have a previous project running i cannot close it to open another i can just choose new. this is a problem in that it will burn both aspects of each project that i have loaded. like if one has 15 tracks and the one i open later has 10 i can burn and get only 10 tracks of the previous project. in addition the drive will lock up and not auto eject so i am forced to open manualy or reboot either way the program is so hosed even XP task mgr cannot shut it down.

when it works it works well. mabye this program knows we are at code yellow and has lost faith in the government as well as the rest of us

Sorry if I have not understood your problem correctly, but if you have a project open you have three options:

1 - Open a new project (the current one is the closed, with a prompt to 'save' if changes have been made).
2 - Load another existing project (ditto wrt current project 'save')
3 - Close CDA5 (ditto wrt current project 'save'.

Do you have a problem where if a 'new' project is started without actually closing CDA5 that something stuffs up ? Doesn't happen with my install (XP or 98SE).

FWIW I miss an explicit 'Close' command on things too, not that it really does anything.
