Subject:Using WAV files with ACID3.0

Hello- I bought a loop disc from BigFishAudio.com. It was Audio only. I
converted it to WAV and put it in ACID3.0.
I'm trying to loop it perfectly, by cutting and pasting right at the
very end of the loop, but there always seems to be a gap. Does
anyone know how I can loop a WAV file seamlessly? Maybe I need another
piece of software?

Thanks for any help.
David

You need Sound Forge or some other editor to trim the files. The audio files probably have a bit of silence at the beginning and end of the files. You have to trim that off. And you have to trim the file to where it ends right on the downbeat. It's not hard but it is time consuming. And you need a wave editor.

Adding to what David said, the full version of Sound Forge (not Sound Forge Studio) has an excellent tool called the Loop Tuner, which will help you tweak the beginning and ending loop points of a file. Just about essential IMO.
