I was wondering if there is a better way to achieve what I'm describing below. I work on very large .wav files which have continuous sound and lots of applause between the music. I want to significanly reduce the length of these applause sections. Here's what I do now: +---------+-------+----------+------+-----------------------+ Start.......A.........B............C........E.........................End . A:C is a section I want to reduce by around 50%. I cut B:End Select A:B Crossfade with: A:B fades out, Clipboard contents fades in Cfade starts at A no change in amplitude during Cfade It works fine but takes a long time since the cut area, B:End is huge. I would rather cut a smaller area, like B:E, or some other area, but I can't get it to work. Any help would appreciated. |
