Hello, I imported a wave file onto the track and it plays back faster than the original sound. I think acid is squezzing it down to fit into 120bpm. I changed the track to a beatmapper track and used the beatmapper to select the exact portion of my clip so that it fits perfectly and it doesnt sound sped up any. But when I use beatmapper it only paints one shot. So I have sound on the first measure and the rest of the painted area is blank. It doesnt' paint like the loop tracks. What I want is for it to either extract the selected measure from my wave file (in beatmapper) so then I can use it like a looped track or what would be even better is to paint the selected portion across the track looping at the beginning of each measure. Can someone tell me what I need to do or point me towards what I need to read to figure this out? Thanks in advance, booga |

Booga, to keep the original tempo, you can set that track (as a one-shot) to original tempo. But if you then want it to behave like a loop, you'll need to make it a loop by setting the loop region and then exporting the loop; that will "acidize" it--although I confess I don't do very much of this and somebody else may have a better tip. But you may have better success with it getting it right in an editor first, loop points and fades and all that. |

Are you using ACID Pro 4.0? Try double-clicking the track's icon in the track list. Select "One-Shot" as the track type. This will preserve your track as it was originally done. (ACID does not apply stretching info to One-shot tracks.) Erase/delete everything that you've had before. While holding down CTRL on your keyboard with the Paint Tool active, click where you want the event to begin. This will paint in the entire event from beginning to end; you will not have to click and drag. Repeat as necessary where desired. Furthermore, you can use the Chopper (in ACID Pro only), to extract or insert a portion of the One-shot track onto the timeline. (Be sure to place the cursor first. The Chopper is activated using ALT+2 on your keyboard.) You can also bounce down a selection in the Chopper (CTRL+M is the shortcut), but note that bouncing down a portion of a One-shot in the Chopper usually can result in the newly rendered track being a Loop. (Access the track's properties as before to change it back into a One-shot.) HTH, Iacobus |
