Subject:Matching beats for remixes

I've heard all wonderful things about ACID 4.0 so I decided to download the trial verison, and give it a test drive, if I like it I am going to purchase it. What is the secrect to matching beats, I just want add a simple beat to a song, both song and beat are beat matched, but I can't seem to get them both to be on beat. Help
