Scripting Available in 98SE? What Download?

Is scripting available in 98SE or only in XP? What download of netframework do you need? I see one for Netframework Redistibutable and also NET Framework SDK. Anyone have a specific URL for what's needed. Also see download VJSharpSetup.exe elsewhere, is that also needed? What's the difference between JScript and Visual Basic, which is better?

All you need is the .NET Framework redistributable... you don't need the SDK but that does include, among other things, the docs for JScript and VB which can be very helpful.
