Subject:Newbie question about burning

I have just completed a 60-minute continuous dance mix using the free Acid software that came with my H-P burner (Music 1.0, I believe). When I burn to CD, how can I divide the mix into individual tracks, without creating small silent pauses between each? Do I need to upgrade my software?
Thanks.

I'm not sure what you mean. Can you give more details?

You'll need to insert track markers with out any gap between them (some software and burners don't support this).

You can also have "negative" space between the gap markers with the music still playing (but again some software and burners don't support this).

I use Vegas for burning which works with both methods.

ACID uses Track-at-Once (TAO) burning, which requires the use of a two second pause between tracks.

You will need an app that can do Disc-at-Once (DAO) burning, which will allow you to have no gaps between tracks. Vegas, CD Architect, Easy CD Creator, and Nero Burning ROM all have DAO capability.
