I'm using Acid 4 on a WinXP DAW that has no internet facilities. Launching Acid activates the service "Terminal Services", which I have disabled as part of my tweaks. I guess the service is required for GetMedia, but I don't require this on my machine, and would like to configure Acid to not start this service. Is this possible? Thanks for any assistance, /dave |

Currently, if you have Terminal Services disabled, you will recieve a dialog stating that an "Unknown Error has occurred" when running ACID. The software then appears to function normally (at least I haven't found it to cause any problems with functionality yet). There is not a way around this at the time being. I will put it on the list of things to look at for future revisions. Nate |

I'd like to see it gone as well. I too have an audio only PC and the error is annoying. Not to mention that I don't think many people appreciate their app connecting to the internet to gather or send information. I know that SF has good intentions, but allow us to uncheck it in the "advanced" settings or something. Give us the choice. Thanks, -Midihead |
