Tried to install 4.0b but get message that Acid 4.0 acid.msi is not correct installer for AcidPro 4.0. It ends up installing but is screwed up. With midi track and DLS SoftSynth when you view track properties it shows 2 separate tabs for "General, and one for "List". Any ideas?

You may want to download 4.0b again (if you downloaded it). If you're installing from CD-ROM, just pick up the update anyway, as it acts as a full version as well.

If Iacobus' advice didn't help, try browsing to C:\Program Files\Sonic Foundry Setup\ (or wherever you extracted your installation files to) and deleting the folder containing the install MSI's and CAB's. Afterwards, run the 4.0b installer from our download section.

If for any reason you still have trouble, drop our support department a line or a note, I'm sure they can help you out quickly.

I uninstalled all Acid including 3.0g, cleaned out registry, redownloaded 4.0b, it installed without a problem but the problem of track properties showing 2 General tabs, 1 List tab, but no Piano Roll tab persists. I did write Tech support this morning, yet to receive reply.

MyST and all, Thanks for help. Referred to thread and fix worked. Have one favor to ask. Would someone look at HKEY, LOCAL MACHINE, SOFTWARE, MIDIPLUG-INS, and post the name of the 3 keys? It would be appreciated.
