a real drummer ... I then either keep the entire take or loop particular portions. |

I take One-shot percussion samples and arrange them as I see fit. If I like a certain part from a Loop percussion sample I'll extract that and use it as well. You can go here and/or here to check out examples of this technique. HTH, Iacobus |

Thank you. :) I failed to mention in my last post that it's not necessary but definitely helpful to have rudimentary music theory skills (note values, time signatures, etc.) where One-shots are concerned, so if you had an idea in your head you could easily make it real. HTH, Iacobus |

I agree. I've played the piano since the 4th grade and taught myself guitar and it's a lot easier to turn an idea in your head into music after 18 years of experience! |

Hi, I use Fruityloops to create loops and then export them as WAV files. You can do the same with Reason and doubtless many other pograms that have a step sequencer. Paul |
