Subject:Using a POD into Acid

Hello.

For some reason I cannot get a full
signal into ACID. I have a POD going straight into the
Delta 44 and even when my output level on the POD is
peaked I still only get about half way up the meeter
in Acid. I get the same reading in the Delta (sound card) control
panel. From my understanding the POD is also a pre-amp
so its not like I don't have enough push behind it
all... Is there something I am doing wrong? Is
there some type of hidden channel I need to open up to
get the signal I am looking for? -or is half way
up the meeter good enough?

Thanks much.

Tommy

Hi again Tommy,

Sounds strange as you should be able to get that signal hotter than it is right now. Have you tried a different instrument cable? (Get some rubbing alcohol and clean the plugs on the cable at both ends. Do this every few months or so as oxidation occurs.)

Strange enough, the only thing I didn't try last night was restarting the computer. When I booted up this morning to test it out again it was working perfect.... But I'll clean the cables too.

Thanks.
