Hey everyone thanks for reading my topic... ((( HERES A LIST OF WHAT I GOT ))) HP PAVILLION 7955 COMPUTER 1.5 GHZ Intel Pentium 4 512 SDRAM Windows XP M-AudioPhile 2496 "driver cd version:060602 Acid 4.0b Sound Forge Studio 6.0 Behringer Euro Rack MX 1604A Mixer ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ ((( Question 1 ))) Ok here's my question... I got a friend that has a bunch of nice tracks on his Korg Triton WorkStation. What I wanna do is get his tracks recorded into my ACID 4.0, but I also want to be able to play the beat without the keyboard being needed anymore once the beats already in my ACID 4.0. I know absolutely nothing about setting up Sound Cards and Midi. Ohhhhh And Also!!!! He has alot of beats that contain " ALOT " of Samples. My PC shows that I got MicroSoft Sound Mapper, Windows Classic Wave Driver and M-Audio Delta ASIO. Im new to all of this so if anyone can help I would appreciate it very much................. P.S .. Incase anyone asks what am I trying to do? Im trying to get all his tracks and master them. ((( Question 2 ))) I know I know this topic has been KILLED already! I been reading about the millions of users that encountered a problem with stuttering during a certain part of a song, and that the Computer Usage seems to jump from 2% to 100 % when that happens. I read plenty of these topics but never got an answer... If you got the secret let me know please :) |

Question 2---From what I remember it was the P4 denormal bug that was giving everyone grief. Basically when say a track with audio went to a point which had no audio the cpu would jump up like crazy. Removing said audio plugin from the track fixed this. This was mainly a Pentium 4 issue not AMD. Email all of the audio plugin vendors of the plugins that you own and ask if they have fixed this problem by now. Question 1...RTFM. Sorry not sure. I'll ask my partner how he does it and post back. Thanks Alot! The plug ins that im using came with the Acid Program.. I'll just have to figure out a way to get around it. I also learned that if you have a few tracks using a plug in , I just render it into one track and the problem seems to go away.. Who would of ever thought that Intel would make such a massive mistake. I see it as a small problem and mostly anything can be fixed nowadays :) |
