Does DirectX 9.0 interface as well with Acid Pro 4.0 as DirectX 8.0 does? Is it better? Worse? And why?

Been using DirectX 9.0 here for a little while now; don't have any problems to report on my end. (ACID Pro 4.0b and Sound Forge 6.0d work fine.) Using Windows XP Home SP1.

Upgrade to 9.0?
It's no big deal...nothing to get excited about.
I'm keeping one XP machine on 8.1 and the other on 9.0.
9.0 has been installed since the beta release.......So far so good, but I don't notice any difference.
New and OLD apps / hardware running perfectly here. Zero problems with multimedia!

Do it!

Save yourself some heartache and stick with 98SE, directx 8.1, 5.5 SP2 and Windows Media 7.1...everything else is just a PItA...!
