Subject:Strange SF 6 problem - MP3 encoding has disappeared!

I bought SF 6 probably a good six months ago now, and registered the MP3 plugin soon after.

Have been encoding MP3s no problem...until today. Now when I try to encode an MP3, under the custom settings dialog, I get a bold message in red saying: "Encode limit reached. Upgrade the application for unlimited MP3 encoding". If I carry on anyway and hit save, I get the error: "Support for the selected file format has expired for this application".

Does anyone, esp. SoFo, know what's going on here? As I said, the programme is fully registered, and re-registering doesn't make a difference. The only thing I can thing of is that today I purchased Vegas 4 from you, and registered it. Could that have caused this?

Thanks
Ben

Installing Vegas 4 shouldn't have caused your MP3 woes in SF 6. We'll look into this.

In the meantime, have you tried registering for MP3 again? In SF 6 (or Vegas 4 for that matter), select MP3 from the Render As dialog, and click Custom. There should be a Register button in the custom settings dialog which should allow you to re-register for MP3.

Bizarrely, the problem disappeared after a couple of reboots. Very strange.

Thanks for your help.
