Subject:4.0 can't find VSTs

I've set the path correctly (C:Program Files/VST plugins), and I've got 10 different plugins in there...... why won't they open? I can't believe that out of 10 there's nothing compatible! I know that Native Instruments plugins are compatible, and even that won't open! Can anybody help?

I don't use effects much in Acid, but I am not sure Acid sees VST effects. I think it only sees VSTi's, which are soft synths. I think you have to use a wrapper to see VST effects in Acid.

VSTi's are what I'm talking about. Soft Synths. I've had no luck opening anything in this area of 4.0. Seems overly complicated as well.

hey, your post says vst...is it vst or vsti's? People need to stop using these as if they were the same thing...ggrrrrr....because they're not!
If it's vst, use a wrapper....I installed one last week and my vst plug in's appeared almost as if by magic.

By default, ACID does not enable any VSTis for use. You have to go to the preferences and select which ones to make available.

Have you gone to the Preferences and selected the VSTis that ACID should use?
