Subject:Combining 2 mono files into 1 stereo file.

Is there a way to do this easily that I'm missing? I often have 2 mono wav files that came from a stereo mix (L & R) that I want in one stereo file. I usually have to go through about 7 steps to combine them. There's got to be a way to open two files and have one be the right and one be the left. How?
Thanks!

I just found this on the Sonic Foundry website:

Solution: If you have Sound Forge 4.0b or later, simply select the two files in the Open Dialog, check "Merge L/R to stereo," and click OK. The file will be opened with the first file you selected as the left channel and the second as the right channel. You can then save this file as a different name.

HOWEVER, there is no "Merge L/R to stereo" button in SF 6.0. Help.

It has returned. Be sure to install the latest update (6.0d) from the website.

Also, all you really have to do is open each file individually, create a new stereo file, then drag-n-drop or copy and paste the mono files to each blank channel...OK, that's still several steps...
